Stacy Goodwin - 5th Grade
Mrs. Goodwin has been teaching at Parklane for 24 years. She spent 5 years in art education, 10 years in 3rd grade, and the last 9 years teaching 5th grade math and science. In 2022, she recieved the Teacher of the Year award. Mrs Goodwin stated," it meant a lot to me as an acknowledgment of the work I've put into my classroom." She says that one of her favorite parts of teaching is watching students push themselves to figure out something they thought they couldn't, and seeing the pride on their faces when they succeed. Mrs. Goodwin is married to Steve Goodwin, and they have three children all who graduated from Parklane. Now, she gets to see the next generation of her family at Parklane with 4 of her grandchildren currently attending. Out of school, she is an active member of First Baptist Church in Summit, where she sings in the choir. In her downtime, she enjoys painting, playing scrabble, and working through sudoku puzzles. What she values most about Parklane is the sense of family - "it's something that's been a constant through all these years." We are thankful to have Mrs. Goodwin and her family as a part of our Parklane family!
