Parklane senior Kent Muse is the STAR Student for the Class of 2024. He has chosen Joe Campbell as his STAR Teacher. Muse earned STAR Student status by scoring a 33 composite score on the ACT.
Muse, the son of Marnie and John Muse of Kentwood, plans to pursue a degree in business with a minor in math at Mississippi College in Clinton.
Campbell taught Muse the past three years in math, including honors algebra II, algebra III, college algebra and trigonometry.
Campbell has been named STAR Teacher eight times and Teacher of the Year 10 times in his 50-year career. He was the MAIS Teacher of the Year in 2016-2017.
