SPOTLIGHT
We are very excited to feature one of our own Parklane Academy teachers, who has taken her love for teaching and expanded it to writing.
Mrs. Sarah Willis is a teacher at Parklane Academy and has been teaching English here for 6 years. She graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies, Samford University with a Master of Divinity, and Arizona State University with a Master of Arts in English. Mrs. Willis’s passion for story, truth, and authentic dialogue has influenced her students and her newest project.
Sarah’s newest book, Lies I’ve Lived: A Return to the True Story, was released last month and is available on Amazon. Lies I’ve Lived tackles the lies that our culture tells about who we are, what success looks like, what our purpose is here on earth, and what it means to be fulfilled. She explores what happens when we exchange the true story of the Gospel with cheap imitations that leave us empty.
Mrs. Willis expressed that when she began writing this book, she noticed how many students and young adults she worked with were trying to figure out this life full of lies about who they should be and what will ultimately fulfill them. She wanted to write a book that would help individuals uncover the true hope, meaning, and identity found within the Gospel. Through her book, she wants to inspire a deeper understanding and connection to the Gospel message, helping readers see the true story they were made for all along.
